The message of reassurance to the Tribulation Saints.
Revelation 14:12-13 12 Here is the patience
of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of
Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven
saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from
henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and
their works do follow them.
This message is complimentary to that given in the previous chapter between
the discussion of the first and second beasts. Again, the difference in the
messages to the Church and the Tribulation Saints is that the Church is to be
prepared for Christ's return at any time, and for the Tribulation Saints, is to
be patient, endure to the end and to remain faithful.
This message appears to be presented in the midst of the second half of the
tribulation period. This occurs after the war on the Saints has begun when Satan
is forcibly removed from heaven and the from the presence of God.
The tribulation Saints are promised a unique blessing for being patient in
keeping the commandments of God (i.e., the ten commandments for one, the golden
rule, and others)
Exodus 20:3-17 3 Thou shalt have no other
gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto
thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or
that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve
them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate
me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them
that love me, and keep my commandments. 7 Thou
shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold
him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 8
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9
Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord
thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter,
thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is
within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord
made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh
day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12 Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days
may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 13 Thou shalt not kill. 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy
neighbor. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy
neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant,
nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy
neighbor's.
Mark 12:29 31 29 And Jesus answered him,
The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one
Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all
thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt
love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than
these.
The times will be horrific, and the choice every individual will be faced
with will be to either follow God unto everlasting life and blessing, or take
the mark of the beast unto everlasting damnation. There will be no middle
ground, and no where to “compromise”.
