TSCOC:  Interpreting the Book of Revelations

The book of Revelation is one of the greatest books of the Bible. It is here where we are introduced to Christ in all of his fullness, glory, and majesty. This is the book that completes all of God's promises made to man since the beginning in Genesis. Therefore, this book of Revelation cannot be read by itself, but one must study all of other books in the Bible to fully grasp what is being presented. This is probably the reason why this is the last book of the Bible, because it fully integrates all which has been written in the Bible.

Rather than provide an exhaustive review of relevant scripture passages, several line graphs are presented with scriptural references to significant events. Following the line of "Image of Ages" displays a page which represents the image of King Nebuchadnezzar, which he dreamt, and Daniel interpreted. This demonstrates the reign of the gentiles over Israel, and in world affairs. This reign will end suddenly and catastrophically by a stone cut out of the mountain without hands, and being hurled against the image. The image is crushed into dust, to be remembered no more.

Continuing this thread leads to another page that represents the 70 years prophesied by Daniel as a line graph. Relevant scripture references are cited at critical events on the graph.

A second link above "Olivet discourse" leads to a page based on the Olivet Discourse by Christ during his first earthly appearance. As before, relevant scripture passages are cited, but this is by no means exhaustive.  It is left to the reader to undertake a thorough study on the subject to become familiarized on the subject.

The third link above leads to a page that is a chronological view of revelation by chapters is presented. Sometimes, while reading through Revelation, it may be confusing to understand John's perspective as to what he is observing. I have listed five areas which are addressed by John: A viewpoint in the new heaven, a viewpoint from heaven, a viewpoint on Earth, a viewpoint from Hades, and finally a viewpoint from Hell, or the lake of fire.

The final link above leads to a page that provides a very brief view of the three methods used to interpret prophecy and the book of Revelations.  This site takes the view that there will be a rapture of the church before the beginning of the tribulation period.  Also, that there will be a 1000 year earthly reign of Christ on this earth at the conclusion of the tribulation period.

Thank you for taking your time to review this material, and please address any correspondence the webmaster address if there are questions, critiques, or dialog.

Yours in Christ
