Engine and Transaxle Mounts for the Notch
Back to "The Details"

The right rear engine mount. Made out of a bus mount and some 1" square tubing. The "hoop" to the left was added to support one end of the new mount.

The left side is a duplicate of the right except the bus mount is a bit forward, this is dictated by the bus motor mount bar. Bolts holes not yet drilled to anchor forward end.

A view from the top of the right rear mount. You can see the relationship to the body's air box drain. Same on the left side.

This is the center mount based on a stock T4 center mount. It's made out of rectangular steel tubing and 1/4" by 2" steel strap (not visible). The Steel strap is above the floor and has 8 countersunk fasteners holding the two mounts below the floor, 2 are visible to the left. There are spacers between the floor and the mounts so the corrugations of the floor don't collapse. This shot is of the original automatic mount, new pix of the 4 speed mounts will get here, eventually.

These are the "hanger" mounts i made to tie the original T4 mounts mounted under the trunk floor to tie the manual trans in.
