Craig Merrow's home engineered and built dizzy, uses a 40 horse cap and rotor. 
The two different sender pieces I have used on a T1 Both positioned the sender in the air coming off the cylinder heads . The one on the left made the wiring a bit neater as no wiring went onto the engine , the plug just stayed on the car wiring.
The little "cup" in the bottom of an T1 EFI tank. This cup along with the shape of the tank bottom actually works pretty well. I am grafting this bottom into a rotted out split tank for the Split. The tank had been used a a critter nest for a quarter of a century
