Splitenz
The birth of a split window Rat rod

almost want to cry, NOT!
Getting ready to yank the '69 body off, making way for the split
don't colaspe now, carport!
Just ready to pull the '69 pan out and stick the donor pan under my old ride.
getting cozy
The lash up for raising and lowering bodies, Rube would be proud. Made it easy to lift up and down to fit the '51 body mounts to the IRS pan.
up and down!
This worked surprisingly well, the 2x4 had to be under the package tray on the old body.

What a day, this was a huge milestone!

The front quarters are done and ready for the next step. The interior is now ready to do the final sanding prior to paint. And joy of Joys! I get to seam seal the whole car, there isn't any left in it anywhere.

Ha, the usual suspects! Lanny, the artist, in the middle, with Gavin and Darren . Enjoying a cold one after the 2 day thrash on the interior of the split. This is a couple of coats of "hi-build" primer. Damn close to the inside getting painted.
