9th - INDIA, BANGLADESH, NEPAL - UNSEASONABLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS TRIGGERING LANDSLIDES - 93 DEAD.
(the toll of those killed from rains, floods and flood-related diseases this year is 2,262 in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. Most of the casualties occurred during the monsoon season which runs from June to September.)
