The Lakes of Enchantment was designed primarily but not exclusively as a Virtual Places chat site. VP users can view the various pages and remain chatting with others on the site.
What is VP?
Virtual Places is a form of internet chat that uses postage stamp sized avatars, little pictures that represent each person chatting. Any website may become a chat room in VP but many are specially designed with VP in mind.
How do I become a VP chat user?
Most of the "Lakes Regulars" meet through Excite from where the free chat program is available, so why not join us here? Make note of the Lakes URL and after entering VP Chat you can visit the Lakes site, just as you do in a Web browser.
How do I turn off the music?
There are many MIDI music files for your enjoyment at the Lakes but if you prefer not to listen or are listening to a CD or other form of music you may right click the small square just below the menu map of Lakes pages to see a list of options including 'stop'.
