Flower Tutorial from Terra Graphica Step by step instructions written with the beginner in mind.

Step A - Create a terrain, then enter the Terrain Editor. Step B - 1) Click new to delete the terrain, 2) click green elevation effects dots, 3) click Blob Maker. Step C - Click Cross Ridges. Step D - 1) Click Gaussian Edges, 2) click Smoothing twice, 3) crop to desired size. Exit Terrain Editor.
Step E - Increase the height of the terrain. Step F - Duplicate the terrain. Step G - View terrain from top. Step H - Rotate duplicate terrain. Return to Director's View.
Step I - Select both terrains and enter the Material Lab. Step J - Select desired material. Step K - If needed, increase the material's transparency. Exit Material Lab.
Step L - Select one of the terrains, duplicate it, decrease its size, and then elevate the new terrain. Step M - Enter the Material Lab and select a plant material from the miscellaneous category. Exit the Material Lab.
The Stem Repeat step A (except create a symmetrical lattice this time).
Step N - In the Terrain Editor do the following: 1) click new to delete the symmetrical lattice, 2) lower the height level, 3) draw the stem.
Exit the Terrain Editor and position the stem.
Step O - Select all terrain and symmetrical lattice objects (while pressing shift key, click 1 & 2), then click G (3) to group the objects. Step P - Position the flower as desired. Add sky and ground/water planes. Render the image. The rendered image. (The flower's stamen were also created with a terrain object.) Note: Images other than flowers can be created in the Terrain Editor. Experiment with different combinations of elevation effects and see what happens.
