Would you like to talk with me about something you've seen on my site? Do you want to know more about how to implement a certain activity in your own classroom? If so, you can give me a call!  People frequently email me with questions, but sometimes it's better to engage in a real conversation.

Using an Internet-based software program called Ether, we can talk talk as long as you like, and  you'll be charged $15 for every 20 minutes of our call. At the end of every 20 minutes you'll hear an automated message asking if you want to continue the call at the same rate. You will be free to continue to sign off at that time.

Phone calls are great for  . . .

  • finding out how to set up a balanced literacy program that's right for your classroom situation
  • discussing classroom management issues
  • learning tips and strategies for implementing cooperative learning
  • discussing effective ways to teach specific math content
  • learning how to set up and run a great Literature Circle program
  • discussing strategies for differentiation

If you would like to schedule a call, click on the Teacher on Call link to learn more. Then send me an email (lauracandler@att.net) suggesting a time you would like to talk and giving me a little background about the issue or question you want to discuss. The more you write in your email, the more prepared I will be for our discussion. Note: If possible, arrange to be at your computer during our conference. That way I can direct you to specific pages or activities on my site as our conversation unfolds.
