Literature Circle Book Picks
(Rated for 5th graders)
|

|
| Many people have asked me which books I like to use with my
5th graders in
literature circles. The following is a list of some of my favorites fiction
titles, ranked according to
Easy, Average, and Challenging for this age group. If you teach a different age group,
disregard the ratings. Also, I wouldn't recommend using a book unless you have read it
yourself. Some books may contain content that you or your parents do not feel is
appropriate for your grade level. |

Do you have
your own favorite read-alouds and literature circle books for this grade level? If so,
email me with your ideas. I'm always on the lookout for a good book to use with students!
It's especially difficult to find a good "easy" book that has enough merit to be
able to be discussed in a literature circle.
