7th Street

26' long, 12-degree curve. 

Single- to double-main transition.  Industries, interchange, and small yard for local switching, closely following the track arrangement found at the Soo's 7th St. yard in St. Paul in the late 1950s.  Yard includes 50' x 500' freight house capable of serving 48 boxcars in LCL service.  The prototype yard no longer exists. 

Module set under construction.  Construction includes a metal pin and sleeve system together with L-girders at the Free-mo ends and track butt joints across submodule joints, with track held in place by soldering to brass screws.

Creekside

Decatur

Under Construction. A representation of the Illinois Central in Decatur, IL in the 70's. The area surrounds the IC passenger station and the crossing is with the Wabash, now Norfolk Southern.

East Muir

A new 64 5/16", 90 degree corner module.

Muir is located between the east side of the Bozeman tunnel and Livingston, MT. The module's double track represents part of the siding on the approach to the tunnel heading west. The ten inches of elevation makes room for the 246 hand made pine trees and a few rock castings.

Kerk is a freelance module built to compliment Voorhees Industrial Park. A four-foot passing siding is created when Kerk is connected to VIP. Siding serves Anoka Ready Mix.

This module set represents a section of the Bessemer & Lake Erie's mainline in NW Pennsylvania. The 276 ft. Kimble's Viaduct passes over Mill Creek and Scrubgrass Road at mile post 69.

Livingston

Not modeled after the real Livingston yard, only in name. Yard features 6 classification tracks and a run around also contains 4 diesel servicing tracks. Up North Lumber and Northern Gas also are located on the Livingston module. Module size is 20' x 26' and took about 18 months to build, other than some additional trees and detail parts Livingston is complete.

Lonely Curve

45-degree curve, 48" radius, superelevation.

Rolling through rural Minnesota, Lonely Curve passes a small town which is in a state of decay. The residents like it, but it is unlikely to draw many tourists.

Mile Post 66

MP 66 is a double track module that features a double crossover. It is located between Clear Lake and St. Cloud, MN on the busy BNSF Staples Sub.

Peters Curve

The prototype is a curve south of Peters Community, TX. Hill on inside of curve, highway on inside of curve past the hill. Grove of Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) trees separating the track from the road.

Trout Brook

Approximately 3' X 20' plus wedge

This eight track yard is configured mainly for staging. But, it has basic scenery. The name comes from Trout Brook Junction in St. Paul. The modules will serve on a home layout as a staging yard representing that location. The one sub-piece, Trout Book Crossover, rightmost in the drawing, is a bona fide double track Free-mo module that could be used on its own. The wedge section adds versatility with a branching track making a 22.5 degree angle to the yard.

This module features a replica of the actual Valspar paint factory in Minneapolis, MN, including the well-known mural by artist Busa. Below-main LRT (scenic only). Single main, two sidings both serving one industry.  Working crossing signals.

Voorhees Industrial Park

VIP is a freelance module depicting an urban industrial area in the mid 1960’s. Sidings serve the Fidelity Storage and Transfer Company and the Hoffman Engineering Company located in the Minneapolis area.
