Minnesota Free-Mo
Modelers -- Farmington
Farmington Siding is based a 10,815 foot passing siding on the UP Spine Line, just north of Farmington, MN. The turnouts for the siding are remotely operated via satellite by dispatchers located in Omaha, NE. Unit train lengths can vary from 4000 to 8000 feet or more. Sidings are needed on single track mainlines so that train meets can be handled smoothly. The module is made up of three separate sections that bolt together.
