My name is Tom English, and I'm pleased to make your aquaintance. In 2004 I defended my disseration in chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.  I did my undergrad work in chemical engineering at the University of Delaware (minors in History and Mathematics).  While at Penn I also earned a Master's in chemical engineering, a master's in systems engineering. I also took some classes on the side at the Community College of Philadelphia earning an associates in business.

I consider Western Chester County and Eastern Lancaster County home.  (In spite of the fact that I have been "wandering" in Centeral NJ/South Eastern PA/Northern DE for the past 12 years and probably next few!) This area is famous for its Amish and Outlet Stores.  It is also some of the most fertile farmland in the United States - at least until we've paved over it all.  If you've never been to this area you should.  It is very peaceful and rural.  Plus the food is fantastic - but I'm PA Dutch to start with, so of course I like the food.  If it sounds like I've stayed in this area a long time I have.  In fact, my family has stayed in the area a long time.  My Aunt Shirley works very diligently on the family tree and has found so far that the Englishes have been living in Pennsylvania at least as far back as 1744!
