WORKLIFE PAGES
...being some chronicles relating to what I do for money in this world...

after all this time
so little changes
it seems like maybe I haven't been away

typical work schedule since the change which happened last month or so...

Saturday 3PM - Sunday 9AM
Sunday 3PM - Monday 11AM
Monday 11PM - Tuesday 11AM
Wednesday 11PM - Thurs 10AM
Thursday 11PM - Friday 9AM
Friday 11PM - Saturday 9AM

sometimes Saturday night substitutes for Friday night and a few weeks I worked seven straight, so the smell of burnout is definitely stronger than it has been in a long time... in between, daily apartment hunting on and offline... I've been staying closer to work, but the price tag is ridiculous as it's a motel... the privacy and convenience is treasured though...

as for work itself, it's still the same only different... same tasks, some different faces to care for, some long term residents longering in the system, getting chewed up and institutionalized... the social service system in this area is lacking in coordination and organization (as is the case in most areas from my experience) and those dependent on then system (and those working in it, to a lesser extent) suffer... and my job is to not burn out and try to make the day to day life in the system as positive as possible...

so what else is new?

nada
