it gets more challenging to believe each day as I watch myself from a distance slide into a semi-conscious abyss of numbness... all this lament... all this whining... sad, isn't it?... pathetic if you have a hard heart... or none... there's a song in there... Gavin Friday?... no... Dead Can Dance... too many seem to have none... but then, worklife is not te place for heart... or honesty... right... no wonder I am where I am... in other words, another week goes by and the interviews that seemed to go real well did not call back... so I call...

the driving job says they are still doing background checks... the residential job personal person went out of town until next week due to family emergency... wonder if she's a football fan... and the other leads fizzled, five different jobs citing my lack of reliable phone number and a couple of others sought more secure proof of residency... of course that was the twisting of the knife laid neatly between my back ribs by a supposed friend... am I bitter?...

but what has this to do with worklife, huh?... except for the fact that it drowned the job hunt process, it's mostly me whining about being betrayed... alas, it's a down beat time for me, with no space so relax and set up this computer or even sit peacefully with a paper and pen... I'll shake it off eventually, but I don't expect much... come back in a few weeks or so...
