  my primary problem seems to be that I actually trust people...

alas... I was hired on Friday, filled out all the paperwork, rushed to get the phone features updated and comparison shop cellular phone services at the VP's request to be ready to take the all the Friday-Sunday on call work and maybe more and then I showed up on time for training Monday and he didn't have time, again, and because he was rushing out to another location and I called back yesterday and he asked me to come in again today just to be fired without pay... well, not exactly fired, but you see, with big apologies and confusing disorganization and piss poor management he decided to continue with the on call people he was firing for poor performance (hence interviewing for the positions since December) and he can't promise any on call at all...

he did agree to pay me for 6 hours and I just shook my head and if he has any business sense at all he knew I was wondering how the heck he expects to manage a staffing agency when he has so little grasp on the few staff (just one for the office and one on call) he needs... I couldn't even in good conscience recommend the agency to the other places I'm interviewing... sad...

I'm going to keep trying to believe that there are some reasonable good business people in Orlando, but it's getting more and more challenging to given the evidence I've seen over the years... the highlights in these worklife chronicals leave out a lot of the nonsense (imagine that, there is actually a lot more nonsense than I put here... gotta laugh... ah, I shall survive and keep my sense of absurdity no matter how many unfortunate souls and morons I run into)...
