A Journal of Sorts
my friend, dear insanity
why have you (hast thou?) forsaken me?
to leave me allied deaf, dumb, and blind
with naught a thought variance in my mind
lest the clock on the wall rings a chime
that bring work into my rhyme
am I not worth anything without labor
am I left to toil at that which defeats me
reduced to complete a maze laid out by others
long dead and rotten, if not forgotten
shall there be no more sweet peace of impassionate release
lost with infancy, dear insanity
worklife wins, what can I say
blah blah blah, at least today
and so I sit here sipping on my glass of prune juice after getting home from another pleasant yet slightly boring night out pondering the last words I heard before coming here... a 15 year old girl who struggled to stay awake to chat on the computer looks at me at 4AM (wide awake at 4AM, as usual) and says with some wonder, you really are a big kid, aren't you?... naturally... somebody (besides the two year old) noticed J
alas, of course... I refuse to grow up, it is against my religion... and the persecution I've endured for sticking with and actually striving to actualize my beliefs only goes to prove the hypocrisy of the freedoms supposedly insured by law... like freedom of religion except when there's another law countermanding the freedom of religion unless it's hypocritical religious interpretation filtered through much fear and prejudice and the majority of people blindly support it and then it is well protected, of course...
alas some more...
sleeping late, though still less than five hours, I spent some time with Rasputin after picking him up at work (his car is well again, yay... mine functions, but needs basic maintenance work... still, three cheers for well and working cars)... we ate at a Mexican place near where I used to live (when I lived with Ben and Jerry) that we heard good things about (especially the all-you-can-eat $4.99 buffet)... and wouldn'tcha know, after living in that area for a year, I finally try the place when there is no buffet, I don't have the money, I was not very hungry, and I moved out of the area... Raspy paid, yay and thanks... and the food was very good J
then it was back to his place where I splurged on snacks for everyone (his house currently houses seven people)... then as I became absorbed (though not quite obsessed) with a game boy pokeman game, Raspy drove a couple of his rommies and me out to Palm Bay to pick up a car that the poppa of one of them was giving to her cuz he car was dead in the driveway, so three cheers for three working cars and hope for more good news soon J
I played the gameboy until the batteries ran out... then bought new batteries... then had the computer version of the game emailed to me... I'm downloading the mail now (10MBs tonight and counting) J
alas, the program will not work on my ancient laptop... boooo
maybe it's for the best, since my absorption could become an obsession as I have quite an addictive personality when it comes to games and meditative mind focusing stuff (from serious academia to creative play, one being's vegetation is another being's home... or perhaps it's more clearly said - who's to say what exactly is a waste of time?) J
and the serious reply is heard... the one paying the bills
