entry in progress more to follow later and the excitement contines to tickle fancies and I thank the members of the Wanderers fan club for your mail... the latest news for the close race in League 3 is... 94-93, Wanderers (cheers and happy hooting noises)... yes, the third, forth, and fifth place teams continue flip-flopping with Hitters (the team with 93 points who was the leader almost all year)... my best hope is they do well and keep Hitters at 93 or less becase I might finish at 93 myself, thogh I am hoping to hang on to 94 or even grab another half point or more... currently, it's like this (the parenthese show how close the next teams are in categroies where change is still very possible... example: -14 means Wanderers is 14 behind the 7th place in Runs, +3 means 3 ahead in home runs {the second most changeable category, SBs is most changeable with 3 teams within 3 SBs of Wanderers... fun with statistics, huh?... well, fun for me}... where no parentheses number is listed, change is very doubtful): |

so I made some more moves... dropped Desi Relaford and picked up Orlando Cabrera (for stolen base help) and I dropped Edgar Martinez and picked up Rick White (for a maybe Win) and I dropped Juan Encarnacion to pick up Kenny Lofton (for Runs and Stolen bases help, if he plays)... there was no clear HR help in available players, so I've got to bank on the players I've got... every move is a gamble at this point, but that's what makes pennant races J J |
