RCMBA Format & Enhancements

If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please contact me via the home page

  • We are an APBA Baseball League, using the basic dice game, with a little tinkering.
  • We replay the most current 162 game MLB season using regular and XB cards.
  • The league has three divisions of 5 teams each.
  • Each team has a 36 man roster with 25 active players and you retain up to 30 of those players from year to year.
  • An annual draft on a Saturday in early February, selecting any carded free agent.

Many of our managers have 10+ years with us and very close friendships have developed.  Every manager has a very deep knowledge of the MLB scene. Our newsletter is published on-line each month with up to date stats & standings plus news of interest. We are, in my humble opinion, one of the best APBA leagues and certainly one of the oldest leagues in existence.

RCMBA Enhancements ..... When formed in 1975, the league found the basic game not quite up to their liking and over the course of the next few years, several enhancements were made to that strict APBA format.

  • Slow Runner Chart (eliminates instruction problems regarding slow runners)
  • Hit & Run (use is limited to how many 31's on card)
  • Super Defense Chart (bonus for top rated infielders)
  • Unusual Play Card (to vary the 36-41's)
  • Error Card (to vary the 15-21's)
  • Pitchers are restricted to their actual IP's for starting & relieving and starters further limited to actual number of starts.
  • Defensive use is restricted to those playing at least 5% of their games at a position.
