Upcoming Exhibitions

One woman exhibit, Sybil M Perry: New Water Paintings, at the Sharon Historical Society.

The art exhibit will run from Saturday, May 16 through Sunday, July 5, 2009. All are invited to the Opening Reception with the artist on Saturday, May 16 from 3pm to 6pm. And on Sunday, June 7, at 3pm there will be a Walk and Talk with the artist. Come and bring a friend! Also open the weekend of Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5 from 10am to 4pm.
Regular hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 4pm. And open by appointment (call 860-364-5688).

The Historical Society is at 18 Main Street, Sharon CT 06069. It is two buildings north of the clocktower and the intersection of Routes 4 and 343 on the Sharon Green. There is a sign out in front.

This frog commission, created in 2008, is covered with North Carolina native plants, butterflies, and birds, and now sits in an Asheville, North Carolina garden.





Artist, Sybil Perry, sponsored by four Torrington businesses, has covered a fiberglass bear with beautifully painted native plants and butterflies.

A Bear Affair is a collaborative public art project of LARC, NW CT Arts Council, NW CT Chamber of Commerce, Tri-State Chamber Foundation, and the Winsted Health Center Foundation. It includes 29 towns in the whole northwest CT region.
