The Petition of Thomas A. Whitney,
of the town of
Cortlandt in said County, respectfully respectfully
sheweth—That
Zabud Lounsberry late of the town
of
Cortlandt in said County, departed this life in
the said
County on the ninteenth day
of July in the year one thousand
eight hundred and fifty- nine
having previously, as your petitioner
is informed and believes, duly made and executed his
last will and Testament; that your
petitioner is one of the Executors named in the said
Will; that the said deceased was a citizen of
the United States; that he
was, at or immediately previous to his death,
an inhabitant
of the County of Westchester; and that his
said last Will and Testament relates to
personal estate only. Your petitioner further shows that
the said testor left neither a wife or children but five grandchildren surviving him viz children of Abram Lockwood: Charlotte Hayes wife of Abraham Hayes, aged 27 years Stephen Lockwood aged 24 years Racheal Gardner wife of Cornelius Gardner aged 22 years Amanda Hayes wife of Jacob Hayes aged 20 years and Zabud Lockwood aged 16 years all residing in the town of Cortlandt in said Coounty except Racheal Gardner wife of Cornelius Gardner resides in the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam County, State of New York.
