"WAWA LAKE" BEAR AREA
This is one of our smaller (7500 acres) bear areas. The old sulphur mining area (sulphur burn as the locals call it) makes up the northern part of this tract and offers some unique terrain in which to hunt bears. It resembles the look in western states typical of mule deer hunting areas (arid, somewhat open with sparse vegitation and hills) . Spot and stalk hunting is possible here. There is also an abundance of wild blueberries here, a favorite food of the black bear. This is not your typical Canadian bear habitat. This would challenge the best of stalkers!
