Members in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and growing...
We are a group of Thing owners. Our club exists to support each other by sharing parts and technical support. We plan to particpate in Car Shows and go on Kubeltreffens and casual Saturday afternoon runs.

The Thing was a campground God at a time. In Colorado Springs there is this place called Garden of the Gods Campground. Over the years many of the Oklahoma oil barons, Kansas heat strokers and Texas corporate devils would come and stay there. From the mid 70’s and into the 80’s they used to rent Thing Safaris to these road whalers and we used to see them all summer long. They would traverse Pikes Peak, Bar-B-Q in Garden of the Gods and just enjoy the cool mountain air from the open air comfort of a Thing. Jim McCann of Recycle Auto parts bought that rental fleet. Often when people see my Thing they say "I went to a camp and they had cars like that . . . ."
NuVintage VW in Arvada, Colorado bought Jim's inventory, thankfully keeping it in the state of Colorado.
We all owe NuVintage a debt of gratitude for that.
