World University Games Stadium, SUNY at Buffalo, NY - 18,000 seat sports facility

  • Coordinate structural requirements with geo-technical investigation.

  • Design of cast-in-place concrete, including flat slab, columns, retaining walls, ramp bridge, and caisson foundations.

Sidway School, Grand Island, NY

  • Structural engineering of a 30,000 sq ft addition, consisting of a two-story classroom with basement, a full gymnasium, and a small cafeteria addition.

Positron Emission Tomography Facility, SUNY at Buffalo, NY

  • Evaluation of existing structure for suitability of the proposed facility.

  • Design of radiation-shielding vault for cyclotron.

  • Design of new mechanical room floor in high bay area.

  • Foundation design consisting of caissons, spread footings, and pits.

  • Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract documents.

  • Site visits during construction to observe that the work was in accordance with the contract documents and to clarify questions and resolve field conditions..

Keshequa Central School District, Nunda and Dalton, NY

  • Structural investigation of the roof system to carry increased loading from proposed ballasted roofing.

  • Structural engineering for a new two stop hydraulic elevator to be installed in an existing cast-in-place concrete building.

  • Structural engineering for a new 9 ft by 24 ft control room to be constructed using cold formed products and concrete slab-on-deck.

  • Structural engineering for a new 28 ft by 44 ft raised roof to accommodate a new bus lift.

Patterson Library, Westfield, NY

  • Structural engineering of a multi-level entrance addition in order to provide handicapped access to this turn-of-the-century building. Project also included an elevator to connect the three levels, and a lift to provide access from the new entrance level to the first floor.

  • Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract documents.

  • Site visit to resolve hidden field condition during construction.

Boy's and Girl's Club of East Aurora, East Aurora, NY

  • Structural engineering for a 8200 sq ft, two-story addition and a 1600 sq ft basement. The construction consisted of load-bearing masonry walls, precast concrete hollow core plank floors, and open web steel joist roof system.

Town of Evans Municipal Building, Evans, NY

  • 25,000 sq ft single-story structure with a partial basement.

  • Design of steel roof system, masonry load-bearing walls, and foundations.

  • Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract documents.

Lockport Post Office, Lockport, NY

  • Project Engineer responsible for coordinating structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design with the architect.

  • Design of steel roof system, masonry walls, footings, loading dock, and retaining walls.

  • Site visits during construction to observe that the work was in accordance with the contract documents.

Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, NY

  • Evaluation of the existing structure for retrofit of elevator hoistway into the existing steel-framed structure.

  • Design of concrete slab to support the mechanical room in an area which previously had large settlements of the slab on grade.

  • Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract documents.

  • Site visits during construction to observe that the work was in accordance with the contract documents.

  • Design of structural steel and precast concrete hollow core plank for additional mezzanine concession area.

  • Design of steel roof system and foundations for the concession building.

  • Structural engineering and drawing preparation for a 17,200 sq ft single story addition for a new multipurpose room, library/media center addition, and nine classrooms plus a 5000 sq ft basement.

North Park School, Lockport, NY

  • Design of a new second-floor in the existing auditorium, including new foundations and additional reinforcement of existing reinforced concrete floor.

Nativity of Our Lord Parish Center, Orchard Park, NY

  • 14,000 sq ft, two-story addition, including gymnasium, locker rooms kitchen, stage, and meeting rooms.

  • Design of structural steel roof and floor systems, pedestrian bridge, reinforced masonry walls, and foundations.

Anna Merrit Elementary School, Lockport, NY

  • Design of a single-story, steel-framed 10,000 sq ft addition for six new classrooms.

City of Lackawanna, Lackawanna, NY

  • Structural study of a three-story, 63 ft X 140 ft steel-framed building (originally constructed in 1968) to support new exterior wall panels.

Diefendorf Hall, SUNY at Buffalo, NY

  • Schematic design for the installation of a new five stop elevator into the existing 4 story classroom building.

  • Structural engineering and drawing preparation for modifications to the steel framed building for the new elevator hoistway.

  • Review shop drawings and make site visits to confirm conformance with the contract documents and discuss field conditions.

Cary Faber Sherman Hall, SUNY at Buffalo, NY

  • Structural engineering for the installation of a new air handling units and 15,000 lbs chiller located on the roof of an existing structure.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Buffalo, NY

  • Investigation, analysis, and design of a turn-of-the-century church, constructed of stone and wood, for the installation of a new three stop elevator.

School 23, Buffalo, NY

  • Structural investigation of a 70,000 square foot, 3 story, school constructed in 1896, of masonry and wood, and the 1928 addition, constructed of steel and concrete for adaptive reuse and necessary repairs.

Buffalo Psychiatric Center, Buffalo, NY

  • Structural investigation of a 6 story hospital building, constructed in the mid 1940’s, and an 8 story hospital building, constructed in the early 1960’s, for new uses.

Chautauqua Institute, Chautauqua, NY

  • Investigation of a turn of the century train station for floor loading and repairs due to deterioration.

  • Investigation of a 5,000 sq ft, two-story, wood framed structure for conversion to assembly space.

Art Park, Lewiston, NY

  • Structural engineering of timber framed bowstring roof trusses for the 1,500 sq ft concession building.

Canisius College, Buffalo, NY

  • Structural engineering for renovations to Bosch and Frisch Halls. Modifications included supporting new roof top HVAC units, new floor slabs to fill an elevator shaft, and new floor openings for ductwork.

Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District, Colden, NY

  • Structural engineering and drawing preparation for a 17,800 sq ft single story addition for a new gymnasium, locker rooms, library/media center, four classrooms, and 2,800 sq ft second story mechanical room.

John Bean Center, SUNY at Buffalo, NY

  • Structural investigation/analysis into the probable cause of collapse of the 80 foot aluminum flagpole. Testing of the adjacent two flag poles to investigate possible flaws that might also lead to potential failure.

  • Investigation and expert witness testimony as to the condition of a circa 1900 industrial building.
