James Stromecki, PE
Mr.
Stromecki holds a masters degree from Clarkson University.
He is
a registered Professional Engineer in New York and 13 other states.
Also, a registered Structural Engineer in Illinois.
He
is certified by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering
and
Surveying (NCEES). With over 30 years of experience in the
design,
renovation and detection of building problems, he has
investigated hundreds of legal and
insurance claims. These
include mold and mildew, rot, leaks, settlement, fire damage,
sagging
roofs and floors, and impact damage.
In
the event the claim is contested, Mr. Stromecki has provided
expert testimony for such
claims as heaving concrete, cracked
concrete, mold, spalled concrete, failed roofing and the
condition of masonry.
Throughout his career Mr. Stromecki has been involved in a wide variety
of projects. He has
completed investigations, evaluations, and initial planning through
final design and the construction
phase of new facilities as well as renovations of
existing structures. Many of these projects included
structural repairs and/or
strengthening. His expertise encompasses a variety of construction materials
including
steel, concrete, masonry and wood, and foundation systems of caissons, piles, or mats.
His creative and innovative design solutions, attention to aesthetics, and cooperation with
owners
and other project team members have contributed to the successful completion of
these projects.
