  • Structural analysis of connections between the precast concrete pieces and the structural elements to which they are attached to.

Seibel Modern, Lancaster, NY

  • Structural support system for a powder coating paint line to be installed within an existing building and on the roof. Design implications included structural modifications to the existing bar joist roof and locating new columns without disturbing production areas.

Seibel Modern, Lancaster, NY

  • Design of a new roof system to be installed in an existing building which was damaged by fire. Design included new footings, columns, beams, and joists installed within active production areas. Also, this system was designed to enclose the existing structure prior to the removal of the fire damaged roof.

TAM Ceramics, Niagara Falls, NY

  • Investigation and analysis of vibrations in existing batch mill foundations, including recommendations for a new batch mill foundation.

APV Crepaco, Tonawanda, NY

  • Layout, design, and preparation of contract documents for structural support modules with typical dimensions of approximately 10 ft x 10 ft x 60 ft high. Modules consisted of structural steel framing with appurtenant access platforms, ladders, and stairs supporting a myriad of pressure vessels such as tanks, heat exchangers, decanters, and associated process piping.

  • Nine different projects were completed utilizing single and multiple modules for use in petroleum, chemical, food processing, and pharmaceutical industries.

Gibraltar Steel, Cleveland, OH

  • Design of equipment foundations for a new, strip steel coil processing line, including:

  • Looping pit 11 ft square x 30 ft deep

  • Turnstile foundation

  • Sheer and peeler foundation

  • Slitter foundation

Summit Lubricants, Batavia, NY

  • Preparation of a raw-product spill study and containment plan. Design of a new raw and finished product tank support mezzanine.

Carborundum Company, Niagara Falls, NY

  • Plan with the owner and general contractor to determine the requirements for a new 3,000-ton press foundation.

  • Design and preparation of drawings and specifications for the foundation and trench covers.

  • Prepare reinforcement cutting and bending detail drawings, as well as field placement drawings.

  • Field observation of reinforcement placement to insure conformance with the drawings.

Indeck Energy Services, Tonawanda, NY

  • Investigation of the steel pile foundation for a 19,000 sq ft co-generation facility with multiple overhead cranes having capacities as large as 20 tons.

SKW Alloys, Niagara Falls, NY

  • Prepare foundation and structural drawings and specifications on numerous projects including:

Furnace air-pollution control systems
Furnace modifications
Electric furnace building, including overhead cranes and foundations
Crushing, screening, and sizing plant
Depressed furnace foundation with tapping car pit

Perry's Ice Cream Company, Akron, NY

  • Design and preparation of a complete set of contract documents for a 12,800 sq ft vehicle maintenance facility, including vehicle wash area, paint spray booth, vehicle lift, lubrication and maintenance bays, and peripheral services.

  • Scope of services included site plans, architectural, foundation and structural drawings, and specifications.

  • Coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracts with the sub-consultant.

  • Project administration, including bid review, review of shop drawings, product data, payment request submittals, and site observation.

Russer Foods, Buffalo, NY

  • Consultation with the owner to determine the project requirements for a renovation of, and addition to, their existing facility.

  • The project included the design of a 6,000 sq ft office addition, 25,000 sq ft plant addition for packaging, cooking, dry storage, box storage, and shipping, and a 9,000 sq ft freezer addition. Construction was of load-bearing masonry and steel frame, and insulated panel construction supported on steel pile foundations.

Perry's Ice Cream Company, Akron, NY

  • Plan with the owner to determine the project requirements for a 92,000 sq ft food processing facility consisting of load-bearing masonry and steel framed and insulated panel construction.

  • Scope of services included site plans, architectural, foundation, and structural drawings, and specifications.

  • Coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contracts with the owner's sub-consultant.

  • Project administration, including shop drawings, product data submittals, and site observation.

Perry's Ice Cream Company, Akron, NY

  • Design of a 10,000 sq ft storage and retrieval freezer facility constructed of steel, rigid frames and insulated wall and roof panels with a super flat concrete slab-on-grade floor.

  • Design of a 15,000 sq ft, two-story office addition of masonry walls and steel-framed floor and roof construction.

DL Banite, Buffalo, NY

  • Perform a study of a multi-addition, "turn of the century," load-bearing masonry and wood framed, three-story office and production facility. The purpose of the study was to determine the loads imposed onto, and the capacity of, the existing structure.

  • Design of reinforcement for those areas which were under-designed.

Freezer Queen Foods, Buffalo, NY

  • Design of support frame for the purpose of supporting a 103,000 pound liquid nitrogen storage tank.

  • Investigation of six-story, reinforced concrete building (constructed in 1927) in order to accommodate a new storage tank to be placed on the roof.
