The remake of Tetsujin 28 aired in 1980 as "Emissary (messenger) of the Sun.   Tetsujin 28" radically changed Tetsujin's appearance.  Gone are the fat barrel body and the bracelet armors that typify the original Tetsujin.  The new Tetsujin looks like a lean mean combat machine and equips with all the modern weaponry.   The pilot is now able to steer the robot from inside and he can get help from little maintenance robots.  Popy's DX Tetsujin 28 typifies vintage Popy quality.   Eighty percent of the robot is made of heavy die-cast metal, yet it also contains lots of functional parts as shown.  It's 8 inches size also display well with the new Soul of Chogokins.
