On 20 - 23 May 2000, Ray Hunt held the second
of his famous Colt Starting and Horsemanship Clinics at Steel Prize
Stables. Ray was sponsored by the Tennessee Valley Arabian Horse
Association. The clinics were open to everyone and attendees came
from Massachusetts, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama
and Florida.
Some thoughts from Ray:
I'm here for the horse - to help him get a better deal.
It's not about winning and losing.
I can't teach experience, and I don't know anyone who can.
The more you learn, the more you find out how much more there is to learn.
It's a lifetime of learning.
The horse is a thinking, feeling, decision making animal.
If we can just understand our responsibility to this animal, it is amazing what we can accomplish.
