Hand Decorated Artware was a line of hand decorated pottery produced for a short time around 1940. These pieces typically were hand sprayed though detailing with a brush was also done at times. The hand spraying allowed for a gradual blending of colors on the pieces. This led to its common name "blended colors" used by collectors. An early catalog lists this line as being available in three colors (Marigold Yellow, Surf White, Twilight Blue). These three colors appear to designate the base colors used at that time though other base colors can also be found. Known pieces include 18 artware pieces (bowls, candleholders, and vases (#3153, #3156, #3171 through #3176, #3182, #3185, #3187 through #3190 and #3195 through #3197)) and one lamp (#5065).
