3. Polynomials

A polynomial is a mathematical expression formed from the sum of terms in one or more variables. The factors of each term include a constant coefficient and one or more variables raised to integer powers. A polynomial with just one term is a monomial. A polynomial with two terms is a binomial. Similarly, a polynomial with three terms is a trinomial, and so on.
