About Squam Boaters - Meet the Photographer, Judy Blomquist

Welcome to my site!  I started visiting and boating on Squam Lake as a young girl with my parents, who honeymooned on the lake over 50 years ago. Along with my husband Ed, I enjoy boating, photography, and recreation in the Lakes and White Mountains Regions of New Hampshire. We use the name "Squam Boaters" because we spend as much time as possible from "ice out" to "ice in" on the lake, and it never ceases to provide incredibly diverse subject matter.

Over time I've developed my photography craft, taking thousands of photographs across the US and in Europe. About three years ago, I took the plunge into digital photography. All but a few of the photos on this site are digital. We started this web site to showcase them, and decided to make them available for purchase based on encouragement from friends and family.

Several years ago we purchased a second home in the Squam Lakes Region, where we find ourselves spending an increasing amount of time. It's also given Ed and I the opportunity to increase our appreciation of the natural, four-seasons beauty of New Hampshire. I hope you find that beauty in my photos.
