Thanks for checking out new ornamental
landscaping blocks.
These unique blocks can be used to
edge garden areas, walkways, or along the edges of homes and buildings.
They have a notable South Western flavor and are ornamental on both
sides so they can be alternated (front / back) to add variety. Several
varieties have been designed that will be popular in areas of the South
Western USA.
The current models are roughly 2 feet long by 8" high and 5" wide. They have an inner passage way which runs laterally thru them so they can be connected in series by pushing rebar or pipe thru them when they are installed.
Note: Mission Block is a trademark and it has nothing to do with the City of 'Mission, Kansas' although that is where the majority of our early models have been sold and installed. The 'Mission' refers to the style of architecture these little abodes represent and NOT in any way connected to the 'City of Mission, Kansas'.

The original concrete models weigh about 50 pounds (110 Kg) each. A lighter hollow Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) or other material can readily be produced.
Rubber and fiberglass or wood
molds are made and coated with mold release. A plastic pipe is inserted
from end to end to form the lateral passageway. The concrete admixture
is poured into the mold and allowed to harden. The resulting casting
can be painted or stained as desired.
Concrete models have been casted. They work well.

Marketing & Distribution
Homeowners and businesses in areas of the Southwest will be the primary markets for Mission Blocks. Garden shops, hardware stores, and mass marketeers with lawn and garden centers would be good for retail distribution.
Independent landscaping companies and ornamental concrete producers could develop a growing business installing Mission Blocks.
Mexican style or Taco Bell restaurants could add to their atmosphere and decor.
