   Preface

The Psalmist declared that "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether." [Psalm 19:9]. And Paul confirms this with his own reference to the day of "revelation of the righteous judgment of God." [Romans 2:5]. We are grateful that even now there is beginning an unfolding of this 'revelation' and the eyes of our understanding are being enlightened, that we may know the truth, and not fear His judgments, but welcome them for their blessings to mankind.
One man wrote, "Judgment, not in the sense of vengeful retribution, but of that involved when a craftsman working on a mass of clay, or an ingot of metal, continually examines the results of the various processes to which he subjects it, with a view to assessing whether or not his skill and artistry are producing the desired results."
Surely God's creative work is seen all through the process of His judgments. There is no failure in the plan and purpose of our Lord. His instructions will bear fruit, and bring glory to His name. His chastenings will ultimately yield "the peaceable fruit of righteousness" in those who are exercised thereby.
With much revelation yet to come on this tremendous subject, we have but shared the first "whispers of His judgments." The more we have sought to understand, the more we cry out with Paul, "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!" [Romans 11:33] Yet may our hearts remain ever open to His Spirit to illumine these truths to us, till we learn to welcome His judgments, and praise Him for this expression of His love, as He prepares to receive us unto Himself.
NOT TO BE SOLD― this book is given free, as a ministry of love. That which is contained therein cannot be valued in terms of material goods, but is shared with others because it has become life and light to us. May it be received in the same spirit of love in which it is shared. If there be any thoughts expressed that seem to be the result of only natural thinking, we trust that a little breath of kindness will blow the chaff away, that the kernel of truth might remain to bless.
With love we dedicate this book to all those who are hearing the "Whispers of His judgments" as He speaks to His apprehended ones in this day. And with you we rejoice in their outworking, to His glory and praise.
