Time of renewal and development
"Wow, you guys have been busy!" This was my reaction to the wonderful surprise of a new computer room upon my return to Brazil a year ago. While we were in the United States 98-99 a new lab had been set up in a large U shape {6 computers by 9 computers by 6}. My assignment now was to teach three high school computer classes and help develop the computer curriculum for all grades. For starters the available hardware was 21 pentiums {19 on the Novell network}, a scanner and some out of order 486 systems. This was enough for the high school classes of up to 15 students. Yet, it was taxing to work without enough computers for the elementary and software unevenly distributed throughout the systems.
Administrators and a number of students helped reorganize and establish a full lab of 30 computers with compatible software. We reconditioned the older systems by combining and salvaging parts from other computers. By obtaining some shareware and organizing available software, we reached our goal of one computer per student for any class.
The next steps will be to develop the schoolwide curriculum, and establish regular backup and maintenance. We look to God's provisions for upgrading and developing systems and classes.

What the Lord has done for me......
How pleased I was when at the beginning of the year I had a young lady, Chelise, offer to help in the lab. "I want to learn a little more about computer" she said. She was put to work reconstructing the older computer systems, pushing desks arround the room in an attempt to establish a functioning classroom, repairing/replacing parts on computers, even getting a monitor to work. What a wonderful blessing it was for me to have such a willing helper throughout the year.
At Home....
We have just read a book called, "Clutter Free". The author, Don Aslett, has helped many people rid themselves of the tons of things that accumulate in the back nooks and cranies of the house. We are now in the process of re-evaluating the items in our house and having fun dejunking:>.......
What has the Lord done for you lately?

Now for the big news!!!!!
On May 11th at 9:25pm the Lord gave us another baby boy. Nolan Stewart arrived weighing in at 9 lbs 1oz a strong and healthy boy ready to talk and tell us of his many plans in life. He was greeted by his brothers Ian, Logan, and Evan with loving arms. They are ready to help out anyway they can, always looking to hold him or talk to him or even tell him the do's and dont's in this family.
When Nolan was born he was having some respiratory problems and was put in the ICU under 24 hour watch. The Lord is good and saw him through and he was released after 4 days. The diagnosis was fluid in the lungs. He is getting along well basically waking once or twice a night letting his parents get some real sleep.

This year @ PACA....
The Lord has given us a good year with the students. We saw a number of seniors show their faith while on a mission trip to a small town in the south of Brazil. They were able to share {with over 200 kids} how God is important in their lives. The upcoming senior class has alot of potential with strong leaders who have a close walk with the Lord. We are looking forward to a year of many good things.

Ian's Ideas:
We sang a song at my Kindergarten graduation and I got to hold up the Citizen sign!
Logan's Logic:
"We had a country fair with booths and games and I won a prize in a surprise bag! Now I'm done with preschool with "0 weeks" left.
Evan's Events:
"Mommy he's smiling at me!!! (Nolan)"I like to sing to Nolan and check his heart with my play stethoscope"
Nolan's Notes:
"I can't wait to grow and run with my brothers. They make me smile!"
