JAY BRINK -- "Jay's introduction
of Al Mihevec was worth the price of admission,"
according to Eloise Leyden. Jay was to introduce his old Industrial Arts teacher and give
him an award of appreciation. He started by saying Mary Lou told him to dress casual
and the other presenters were in ties. No big deal. He then told how much he
liked Mr. Mihevecs classes and that in one class Mihevec made Jay "foreman."
Mihevec told him: if he did a good job taking attendance, he could go out for a
cigarette. Jay went on to say that Mr. M. was his favorite teacher and gave him his
only A in High School. EARL REUM -- Earl's
opening "invocation" to the ceremonies was both humorous and poignant. Later,
many asked if they could get a copy. Click here
