Back in the retro 70's, Larry Farmer, owner of Sound Spectrum, established the college radio station at SCC (now Vanguard University) in Orange County, CA. He learned to DJ when they were still spinning records (round black plastic objects when brought into contact with a stylus needle produced scratchy sounds which some called music). With experience as a club and radio DJ, you can be sure Larry will provide just the right mix of music for your event.

Things have changed a little since then. But at Sound Spectrum it is still about the music. We don't do this for the bucks (we don't do it for free either), but definately not for big bucks. We work hard to be sure that your event has the special music you request, played at the time you request. Music that makes beautiful memories of a special day or brings back memories of days long ago. It is important to you and so it is important to us.

Remember the tune playing in the background when you stole your first kiss ... what was that song the two of you used to dance to at the sock hop ... recall the night you danced on the bed with your best friends as the stereo blasted the neighbors ... there was that special song you danced to the night of your wedding ... and remember last night when you grabbed your partner and hit the dance floor because they were playing "your" song? It is still about the music.

Information

We offer a top of the line sound system for your guests. Our large venue system consists of two huge 3-way Mackie speakers and separate Mackie sub-woofers. Each of those speakers are matched to Mackie amps delivering 500 watts to each speaker and each sub-woofer. A Mackie 16-channel mixer board provides plenty of microphone and stereo sound options. A separate E/Q allows us to customize the sound to each individual venue, save it in memory, and bring it back the next time we are there (we have performed at local venues such as The Holiday Inn, Doubletree Hotel, Red Lion Hotel, Rio Bravo Country Club, Seven Oakes Country Club, Stockdale Country Club, The Bayou, Eagles Hall, Women's Club, Rasmussen Hall and many others). A dual Denon CD player and a JVC triple karaoke player rounds out the system. We use top quality cordless and corded microphones with excellent reception from anywhere in the room.

Select your favorite tunes from our library of over 3000 CD's or over 2000 karaoke titles and we will fill in the rest. We've got music ranging from classic country to new country, retro to rap, big band to doo wop, classical to latin and everything in between.

CLUB AND BAND SOUND SYSTEMS
Sound Spectrum also provides a complete sound system set-up for your club or band. We will customize our system to meet your sound needs. Up to sixteen mikes or other inputs are available. Our own sound person will work the mixer for you while you concentrate on the performance or your guests.
