For example, when USAbox receives a package for you, they send you an email with a web link to that item in your account. When you access the link, you can decide when you want the package sent and most importantly, you can also provide USAbox with the declared value. To save on your customs fees and taxes, it is best to declare the fair market value of the contents in the package, rather than the amount you actually paid. The amount you paid can include domestic shipment, taxes and resellers charges that will make your customs fees higher than they need to be.

Once your account is set up you will need to send USAbox two signed and notarized copies of USPS Form 1583, which is available on the USAbox site (USAbox is regulated by the US Postal Service and is required to provide a copy of your Form 1583 to the Postal Service.) Print out the form, sign it in front of a notary public (The US Consulate in your area can do this for you) and mail it to USAbox together with photocopies of two forms of ID (for example passport and drivers license, national ID document).
