RETREAT DEATAILS | We understand that activists often have tight budgets, but we don't want costs to interfere with anyone attending the retreat. We're not asking for any additional fees. Registration will cover the cost of meals and accommodations. We hope everyone is comfortable with the arrangements below. Please contact us with any special circumstances and we will do our best to accommodate you.

REGISTRATION

You should arrive directly to The Oaks (see below for directions) and register there. Registration is Friday January 11 beginning at 4pm.

Registration covers accommodations for two nights and all meals (dinner Friday. breakfast, lunch & dinner Saturday. breakfast & lunch on Sunday). We have a sliding scale for registration:
:hardship $100
:sustainer $150 (to cover costs)
:supporter $200(your extra $ will fund hardship registrations)
Payment is due on the first day of the retreat. Cash or checks made out to Solidarity.

We will have child care on site.
Please let us know your needs or concerns when you register.

All meals will be prepared family style on site.
Please indicate if you have any dietary or other special needs.

Subsidies for registration and travel are available, though funds are limited. We hope to work with everybody to make their participation possible and comfortable.

LOCATION & ACCOMMODATIONS

We are excited that so many people are interested in the retreat. There should be many amazing activists here this weekend. So many that only about half can stay at the retreat center, The Oaks. The Oaks Retreat Center in New Rochelle, NY is less than one hour north of New York City.

The other half are assigned beds at the Econo Lodge 3 miles away from the Oaks, right off I-95 at 1000 Baychester Ave, Bronx, NY,US, 10475. Phone number is 718-862-2000.

We reserved the hotel rooms and we will check into the hotel. You will get your keys and assignments when you register for the retreat at the Oaks. Transportation between the retreat center and the hotel will be arranged. There will also be a hospitality suite type thing there, so nobody will fell like the hotel is less social. Both locations will be filled with the great radical feminist activists coming to the retreat.

TRAVEL DETAILS

BY AIR | If you are arriving in New York by plane on Friday or Departing on Sunday, we are arranging pick up for you and will send specific details of who will meet you where and when. You should, if you haven’t already mail me your flights details, including airlines and flight numbers.

BY TRAIN | From NYC train is the best option. The Metro North takes about 35 minutes on the Stamford Local train to get from Grand Central Terminal (42nd and Park avenue) to the New Rochelle Station (24 Station Plaza North New Rochelle, NY, 10801).
