The Golden-Schubert/Lynch Certificate Shannon called just two weeks before her wedding day to ask if a certificate might be done.
Fortunately, I had the time, because this was a truely beautiful certificate and she invited me to the wedding/reception! Shannon and Michael both liked the Deco and Art Nouveau
styles of artwork which determined the overall look of the certificate. Shannon was also very fond of the Demeter/ Persephone myth (daughter leaves mother to go with husband) and wanted Demeter,
the fertility goddess featured in her certificate. Shannon's pretty but strong profile was perfect for an Art Noveau
interpretation of the Goddess Demeter. An internet search on the Goddess revealed rich fertility imagery to use in the certificate, including wheat, a horse, pomegranets, dolphins, water flowing from a vase and fields of flowers.
Calla Lilies would be in Shannon's boquet and on her wedding cake, and so they were prominent. Michael was very fond of geometric imagery and so a geometric precision was added
to leaves and flowers, the sea shells represent just one of the many geometric formulas found in nature. The leopard at Shannon's feet is Michael's favorite beast. The knotwork in the arch and a few tiny
shamrocks harken back to Michael's Irish roots. Visit Shannon and Michael's Wedding Internet Site.
