The Dorn/Bowden Certificate The bride is Polish and the groom is Irish, so they asked to combine Irish knotwork with Polish folk-style flowers. The
couple sent me a book cover of Polish fok art and specifed the colors they preferred, very specifically; a burgundy, a gold-orange and a cornflower blue. They also sent along a xerox copy of some
Irish knotwork that they particularly liked. Sometimes this kind of detailed instruction is restrictive, but in this case, it produced a very beautiful certificate that I might not have thought of on
my own. The couple wanted a circle, and as it turned out the text at the bottom did not fit into the circel, but since that text referred to the guests' commitment and signatures, this separation worked
out quite nicely. Actual size is 24 inches by 36 inches.
