A History of the Grisak Family Emigration to America- Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is a great story of emigration from Slovinky, Slovakia to Pennsylvania and Ohio. It was most interesting to me because of emigration to Punxsutawney, Pa., my birthplace. There were Gresock families living there when I went to school and their name most likely was Grisak in the beginning. No matter what the destination, this is a truly remarkable, first hand account of life in Slovakia in the late 1800's-early 1900's and the ordeals of emigrating to a new country. It is a bit long but well worth reading.
