How about a cross-country ski-day?  Join us at Windblown Cross Country Ski Area, Route 123, New Ipswich, NH (http://www.windblownxc.com/) on Saturday, Feb. 3rd, 2005; rentals and lessons are available.  We will brave the elements, enjoy the view of Mt. Monadnock, and then retire to The Inn at Jaffrey Center, Jaffrey, NH for hot chocolate and maybe something stronger.  Please RSVP by January 29th to Anne who will let the ski area and inn know the approximate numbers; we get a discount if there are 20 or more skiers!

Boston                          Laura Morrissette    (781) 646-0337 or domesticgoddess@rcn.com

Laura invites fellow ‘76ers to meet on Tuesday, January 25 at 6:30 pm for dinner at one of her favorite restaurants, Prose, located at 352 Mass Ave in Arlington, MA. This intimate, woman chef-owned restaurant has a menu that changes daily to take advantage of the season’s best.  Prose is easy to get to by public transportation, and has plenty of parking as well. Please RSVP to Laura by January 11th.

Mass. South Shore       Louellyn Lambros                    llambros46@hotmail.com

Louellyn hopes that classmates living south of Boston and even in nearby Rhode Island will join her for dinner at 7:30 pm on Friday, January 21 at Nino’s Steak and Chop House at 415 Whiting Street on the Hingham/Weymouth line not far from exit 15 off Route 3. She says it’s a lovely place with delicious Italian food like chicken saltimbocca and sirloin balsamico.  Kindly RSVP via email to Louellyn by January 14th.

Connecticut                 Nancy Atwood Fogwell     (203) 869-9355 or nfogwell@hotmail.com

Nancy encourages classmates to meet on Saturday, January 29 at 11:00 am at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich (http://www.brucemuseum.com/) to see the special exhibit, “Drawn by the Brush: Oil Sketches by Peter Paul Rubens”, to be followed by lunch down the street at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club. The oil sketches vary from small studies to large presentation works for potential patrons. Since his final masterpieces were executed with or by assistants, the oil sketches are the only works representing “pure” Rubens. Nancy has requested a docent to lead the tour. Reserve your place by sending $10. for the museum fee by January 22nd to Nancy at 77 Indian Field Road; Greenwich, CT 06830, and bring cash or your checkbook for lunch expenses.
