UN DECADE PAGE

I am grateful to the Law Librarian and the Dean of Cornell Law School for helping the American Society of International Law to memorialize its U.N. Decade Newsletter--and now the UN 21 Newsletter--on the world wide web. I have had the honor of being the Editor since 1992, and the Chair of the ASIL's United Nations Decade section since 1995.

...UN 21 Newsletter

One may therein access information and proposals regarding the work of the UN Decade of International Law, as well as a number of brief book reviews on significant books published during the U.N. Decade. Twenty-three issues have been published since 1992 (which included supporting remarks from the UN Secretary-General), with Issue Thirty tentatively scheduled for publication in Spring, 2004.

With Issue #16, we shifted to an electronic format. You have been able to access all prior issues for some time. Deleting the "print" version has thus saved the UN Decade group the costs of photocopying and mailing each Newsletter to our 150 members, and others who have asked to be on the "mailing list" for each issue.

The Table of Contents for the latest issue of the UN Decade Newsletter appears below:

IN THIS ISSUE (#37 August 2007):

UN Decade Objectives
Reader's Corner
Your Turn

Note: We no longer use page numbers for this
Newsletter--now that we have shifted to an electronic format. Next Newsletter: Winter ‘08
