Reading Instructions: ..... § = Read this entire section of the textbook. The textbook and its supplement will be distributed in the first class on Monday, 10 July. ..... You should read the book sections (§) assigned below. Read only those cases and problems assigned below. Reading other material is encouraged, but there will be little--if any--class time to cover them. The final examination will focus on materials which are assigned below and covered in class. ..... Underlined number.letter = previously assigned end-of-chapter problem which you will present or debate with another student in the next class. For example: on the first day of class, I will assign Problem 1.D, on page 58 of the textbook. On the second day of class, it will be debated by the two previously assigned members of our class.
