.......KOSOVO SUMMER UNIVERSITY SUMMER 2006
PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW: ASSIGNED PRESENTERS
|
"Prof" = assigned student who assumes the role
of a professor to present & lead discussion. I will assign
materials for each class day on the previous class day. I will assign each student, sometimes assigning more than one presentation per day, in reverse alphabetical order, using the list of student names provided to me from the university. Reading assignments: click here. Supplement Table of Contents: click here. .....This approach will provide an extraordinary opportunity: (1) to practice your skills in presenting the cases, problems, and other assigned materials in English; and (2) debating the issues, as you will be doing soon in your professional career. Members of this class will no doubt be future diplomatic, political, and legal leaders. I hope that you will seize this challenge, and that you recognize what you have already accomplished--which resulted in your being selected to be a member of this class. Should you have any questions about your assignments, I will be available after each day's class. Do not leave class without understanding what problem or case you have been assigned for the next day. I will also monitor my e-mail, should you have questions later in the day. .....Each time that only a "Prof" is assigned to a case or Problem, I will normally ask whether the class agrees. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to have another class member take your place and present your assignment. Your grade will be reduced if you do not do so. In this collaborative learning experiment, we will all be responsbile for teaching one another through our preparation of each assignment. .....NOTE: Each presenter is normally limited to two (2) minutes. Class discussion/questions will follow. |
