We were married in Gretchen's Garden at The Presbyterian Church, Bound
Brook, NJ. Our parents were there, and our sons, Selwin and Chuck
Briggs were the Best Men. |

Ronnie shared the following about this poem:
I wrote this poem in 1971 when I was 19. It was first published in
my college yearbook, the 1972 edition of THE IVY, yearbook of Mohawk
Valley Community College in Utica, NY... It
was printed in Ann Landers' column in 1982 under the heading "Comes
the Dawn."
It's picked up quite a few titles along the way, I understand. Abigail
Van Buren
and Ann Landers have both reprinted it several times since then.
