DESCRIPTION Basis for conversion: Many field modifications were introduced during the Earth ground campaign of the OYW. The Heavy Armor Type was an attempt to by the field mechanics of the 04th MS Team to increase the defensive capabilities of the RX-79[G] after the introduction of the Zion's heavily armed Gouf Custom. COMMENTS One of the best MG kits to build. Solid construction. Very few seam lines to clean up after assembly. The moving joints are tight for extreme poses. MODIFICATIONS External Armor - Sheet styrene was used to construct the removable armor components. Cargo Container - The box and ammo rack was scratch built from sheet styrene. The crates are styrene as well. The jerry cans are resin castings from a modified 1/76 jerry can. The ammo clips are resin castings of the kit supplied ammo clip. A motor tool was used to add dents and dings to the model for that much loved look. FINISH Testor's Acryl Light Grey airbrushed for the overall color. Tamiya Red . Custom mixed Blue. Testors Olive Drab for the armor. Various colors for the cargo box and contents. Weathering -Pastels were used for panel lines and general dirtiness.
