DESCRIPTION The version above represents a custom MS-14F Gelgoog Marine of the Delaz Fleet. The 1/144 scale kit was a pleasure to build. The only assembly problem was a seam that ran down the middle of the fore arm through a molded detail. This detail was filled in. Easy assembly and well detailed for its scale. The open palm hand is the gem of the kit and would work well with many 1/144 Zeon kits. CHANGES I replaced kit propellant tanks with after market tanks. Added chest vents and sculpted the chest to blend them in. Added a head antenna for a commander version. Thrusters were upgraded. Custom heavy machine gun was slightly modified from a 1/60 Brocken from Patlabor. FINISH Painted with Testor's Acryl line of acrylics paints. All colors were custom mixed. Future floor acrylic was used as the final gloss coat. A light wash was used to accent panel lines. No other weathering. |
