Lady Spirit Dancer is one of our older Initiates, and one I will always treasure in my heart. Always sensitive to the needs of other, always kind and fun, even when life was hard for her, and many times it was. She worked hard and created a firm and strong foundation from which to grow. She acted as grove maiden and was hand picked by me to train as a High Priestess. To say she was a blessing in my life is not even close to the truth.

I had the pleasure (and often times the hardship) of watching Shandra grow from a wild and often impulsive young woman to a wise and reverent Lady. She accepted the Goddess and God completely and was changed for the better by them growing in their love and strength. Life was not always easy for Shandra but she was always there for the long haul no matter what.

On May 1st, 1995 Shandra became Lady Spirit Dancer and earned her 1st Degree. It was what she had most wanted and was so very happy with her achievement, I was so very proud of her entire class but especially of her and the high advancements she had made. A kinder, more wise soul could not have been found. That next day Lady Spirit Dancer was called home to the Summerland. It was quite a shock to run through our pagan community, and one that tore at the hearts of all.

Yet now at nights when the moon is full, and the stars are bright, I swear by the Lady you can see the shadow of Lady Spirit Dancer moving through the sky. She is our spirit in the sky...missed deeply and to never be forgotten. One day we will all meet again in the Summerland and dance!
