This is a compilation of information from Hall color charts, Hall catalogs, Hall ceramic
color chips, information on current colors from the Hall closet employees,
Harvey Dukes books (including his teapot identification guide), Margaret and
Kenn Whitmyer's books and other collectors knowledge. I am sure there are corrections to make and
additional
information to add. You

A seldom-found glaze, it requires a two-step process to apply. First coat is brushed on and allowed to dry until it is tacky, at which point the second coat is brushed on and swirled into the first coat to produce the desired effect. |

Possibly Hall's most easily found color (and highly sought after) An art glaze, therefore easily marked or damaged, this color has a wide range of shading from an almost black red to a orange red. "Fire Engine Red" Ivory or white on the inside. Has the HSQK stamp, round or new rounded square, and no decal or gold. Ivory or white on the inside. |
